Session Records Review

We believe in doing things decently and in order. One piece of this core value is the recording and review of minutes—but not only for the sake of keeping minutes. These minutes are the recording also of how we have found God at work in our midst. They record our history with God for those in the future to learn from.

The Committee on Session Records Review spends time with minutes from each individual session in our presbytery, and provides guidelines for the creation of minutes and also safe keeping into perpetuity. These resources are especially helpful for clerks and moderators of session.

Many have found a check-list important as well. As minutes are prepared, please be aware of deadlines for submission to Session Records Review, found below. Once minutes have been prepared for the previous year, please submit electronically to sessionrecords@presbynyc.org.
